Optionally, Salty Dog can join your charter or stay ashore as you like. Salty is a mature Yellow Labrador with a sweet, serene, loving personality. Our charter guests have universally loved having Salty aboard – references are available! Salty's normal duties are to supervise snorkeling and fishing, finding dolphins and relaxing. Some people want their daily fur fix and even a game of Frisbee, and this Labrador is always happy to oblige. Our guest Karl particularly wanted Salty along for his two week sail training charter in January 2007. Karl and Salty fell in love. Dog and sailor were inseparable even to the point of swimming and running on the beach together. Design your trip

Eco
Initiative - Make purified drinking
water Re-usable water bottlesWe are GREEN, we have been using reusable water bottles for a couple of seasons now with reverse osmosis water and an additional filter that is the same design used by ----- when they send people into countries where there is any chance of water contamination. For over ten years we have been using SOLAR and WIND to recharge our batteries and only occasionally use the genset. We have installed LED lights and special low amp draw motors for both frig and freezer to reduce energy consumption and have just installed a brand new TV that runs on 12 volts instead of higher draw 120v. We also whenever possible buy locally grown produce and in the case of fish, locally caught to reduce petroleum usage associated with shipping. We also are a sailboat that primarily sails and we often catch fish while on charter. |
